The Atla is a 4 light crystal semi-flush ceiling light built around a 380mm diameter polished chrome frame with a clear acrylic trim ring and multiple tiers of faceted Asfour crystal droplets cascading 250mm below the ceiling. Four G9 bulbs (sold separately) sit within the chrome canopy, directing light through the crystal layers to create refracted light patterns across walls and ceilings.

Designed for rooms with 2.3-2.7m ceiling heights where a full chandelier would sit too low, the Atla provides decorative light without the projection of a pendant. The semi-flush format mounts directly to the ceiling with minimal drop, making it suitable for bedrooms, hallways, landings, and living rooms where headroom is limited but decorative impact is still wanted. The 380mm diameter suits rooms 3-4m wide without overwhelming the space.

The crystal droplets are cut Asfour crystal—a lead-free optical glass known for high refractive index and consistent faceting. Each droplet is wire-suspended from the chrome frame, allowing the crystals to move slightly in air currents and catch light from different angles throughout the day. The polished chrome frame reflects both natural daylight and artificial light back through the crystals, intensifying the sparkle effect. At 3.5kg total weight, the fitting requires secure fixing to a standard UK ceiling rose or mounting plate rated for the load.

What bulbs does it take?

The Atla takes four G9 capsule bulbs, each up to 33W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs in the 3-5W range at 2700K-3000K warm white for bedroom and living room use.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs and paired with a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself has no electronics that would prevent dimming—dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulb choice.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 250mm drop from ceiling to lowest crystal point suits rooms with 2.3m or higher ceilings. In a typical 2.4m ceiling room, the lowest crystal sits at approximately 2.15m above floor level, leaving adequate headroom in circulation areas.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Each crystal droplet can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth while in place, or individually unhooked from the wire loops for more thorough cleaning with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water. Avoid spray cleaners or soaking the chrome frame.
