Description

The Atla is a 2-light crystal wall light with a polished chrome backplate and three tiers of faceted Asfour crystal droplets hanging from chrome arms. An integrated rocker switch on the backplate allows the light to be turned on and off without needing a separate wall switch, making it useful in bedrooms, hallways and living rooms where local control is preferred. Each of the two G9 bulb positions sits behind the crystal tiers, so light refracts through the cut crystal and casts patterns onto adjacent walls.

Designed to mount on standard UK backboxes, the Atla suits hallway runs, bedroom headboard positions, and alcove accent lighting where 220mm width and 140mm projection from the wall can be accommodated. The fixture weighs 1.4kg, so solid wall fixings are required — plasterboard alone will not support the load. The built-in switch removes the need for wiring to a dimmer or separate control, though dimming is available if dimmable G9 bulbs are fitted.

The chrome finish is polished rather than brushed, giving a mirror-like reflective surface that pairs with cooler-toned interiors and stainless steel fixtures. The Asfour crystals are machine-cut K9 optical glass, providing consistent clarity and faceting across all droplets. The three-tier cascade creates depth when viewed from the side, with larger crystal balls at the lower tier and smaller linking crystals above. Each tier catches and redirects light differently depending on bulb type and colour temperature.

What bulbs does it take?

The Atla takes two G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 2.5W-4W and 2700K-3000K for ambient bedroom or hallway lighting.

Is the built-in switch dimmable?

The integrated rocker switch is on/off only. However, if dimmable G9 LED bulbs are fitted, the light can be dimmed using a compatible wall dimmer installed upstream of the fitting.

What wall fixings are needed?

The fitting weighs 1.4kg and projects 140mm from the wall. Use solid wall fixings rated for at least 2kg into brick or blockwork. Plasterboard fixings alone are not sufficient — the backplate must be screwed into solid substrate or a timber batten behind the plasterboard.

Can it be fitted in a bathroom?

The Atla carries no IP rating and is designed for dry interior use only. It is not suitable for bathrooms or other damp environments unless positioned well outside splash zones and ventilation areas.
