Description

The Astra is a 400mm five-light alabaster pendant built around a brushed brass central stem with five natural Spanish alabaster globes clustered at the base. Each globe houses a G9 lamp (sold separately), and the alabaster itself acts as the diffuser, softening the light through the stone rather than behind it. The brushed brass canopy and rod give the fitting a slim vertical drop above the cluster.

The compact 400mm diameter suits smaller dining tables, two-seat kitchen islands, breakfast bars and intimate seating areas where a full-size chandelier would dominate. The five globes sit close together rather than spreading outward, keeping the visual footprint contained while still delivering light from five separate sources. Hung at 700-800mm above a table surface, the cluster reads as a single sculptural element rather than five individual lights.

Each alabaster globe is cut from natural Spanish stone, so the veining and milky tonal variation differ from one to the next. The brushed brass framework holds the globes in a tight asymmetric arrangement, with three at the upper tier and two below, giving the cluster a layered profile rather than a flat ring. The brushed finish on the brass reduces glare and pairs the warm metal with the cool translucency of the stone.
