Description

The Aston is a 300mm lantern-style wall light built around a square polished chrome frame with bevelled clear glass panels on all four sides. Two E14 bulbs sit inside the glass enclosure on polished chrome lamp holders, visible through the glass when lit. The bevelled edge on each glass panel refracts light at the corners, adding a subtle prismatic effect when the bulbs are on.

Designed for hallways, staircases, porches and entrance areas where wall space is limited but visible light output is needed, the Aston projects 185mm from the wall and stands 300mm tall. The lantern format provides 360-degree light distribution through the glass, making it effective as passage lighting or flanking either side of a front door. The polished chrome finish pairs with both traditional period properties and contemporary homes with cool-toned metalwork.

The glass panels are clear rather than frosted, so the internal lamp holders and bulb filaments (if using decorative candle bulbs) remain visible when the light is on. This works best with warm-white LED candle bulbs or traditional filament candles at 2700K, where the visible bulb becomes part of the design. The 205mm width and 185mm projection suit walls with sufficient clearance for a person to pass without catching the fitting.
