Description

The Aster is a linear pendant carrying eight radial glass discs arranged in a horizontal line, each disc textured with fine radial grooves that fan out from a central gold-finished metal boss. The discs are mounted on two parallel gold metal rods suspended from a rectangular canopy, creating a 103cm-long bar of light suited to dining tables and kitchen islands. Each disc houses a single E14 bulb behind the textured glass, which scatters the light in a sunburst pattern across walls and ceilings.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.2m, the Aster's suspension cables allow the fitting to be set anywhere from 48cm to 128cm below the ceiling during installation. This makes it suitable for standard dining room ceilings as well as double-height spaces where a lower drop creates more intimate light above a table. The 103cm length suits tables from 160cm to 240cm, providing evenly distributed task and ambient light across the surface.

The glass discs alternate between transparent clear glass and amber-tinted glass, giving the fitting tonal variation when lit. Each disc measures approximately 25cm in diameter and the radial groove pattern creates a fanned reflection effect under directional light. The gold metal finish on the frame, canopy and disc centres is a warm-toned metallic that pairs with brass hardware, warm timber and both neutral and jewel-toned interiors. The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry indoor spaces only.

What bulbs does it take?

The Aster takes eight E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle or golf ball bulbs at 2700K for ambient dining light, or with decorative filament LEDs where the bulbs are visible through the glass.

What table length does it suit?

The 103cm fixture length works best over dining tables from 160cm to 240cm, positioned centrally along the table's length. For kitchen islands the fitting should be centred over the working or seating section rather than spanning the full island length.

Is the height adjustable after installation?

The suspension cables are cut to length during installation, setting the drop anywhere from 48cm to 128cm below the ceiling. Once installed, the height is fixed unless the cables are re-cut and re-terminated.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts this fitting to dry indoor spaces only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor covered areas.
