Description

The Ashland Bay is a 305mm diameter outdoor ceiling flush fitting in weathered zinc with a clear seeded glass drum. Two E27 bulbs (sold separately, max 60W each) sit inside the glass enclosure, which is held by a weathered zinc frame with visible fixings at four points around the circumference. The IP44 rating protects against dust and water splashes, making the fitting suitable for covered porches, carports, and exterior entryways where direct rainfall is not an issue.

Designed for outdoor spaces with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low, the 152mm vertical projection keeps the fitting close to the ceiling surface while the glass drum projects downward and outward to throw light in all directions. The clear seeded glass has visible bubbles and texture that diffuse the light from the bulbs without blocking too much output, giving a softer glow than plain glass while still maintaining good downlight for doorways and steps.

The weathered zinc finish is a mid-grey tone with darker patination around edges and recesses, mimicking the natural oxidation of aged zinc cladding. This pairs well with colonial, traditional and cottage-style exteriors, and complements stone, timber and painted render finishes.
