Asher 3 Light Bar Pendant - Antique Pewter & Clear Glass

The Asher is a 735mm-wide bar pendant with three clear glass ovoid shades suspended from black fabric-covered cords on a brushed nickel rectangular ceiling plate. Inside each clear glass outer, a perforated antique pewter metal mesh cylinder surrounds the E27 lamp holder, diffusing the light from the bulb while the outer glass protects the mesh and adds a polished layer.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and counter bars where linear distribution of light is needed, the Asher provides three independently adjustable drops (each cord can be shortened during installation from its maximum 2896mm length down to a minimum 336mm total pendant height). The 735mm bar width suits worktops or dining tables between 1.5m and 2.5m long, with typical pendant-to-surface clearance of 700-800mm in rooms with 2.4m or higher ceilings.

The double-layer shade construction creates a layered lighting effect: the perforated mesh softens direct glare and creates a pattern of small light dots on nearby surfaces when viewed from the side, while the clear glass outer keeps dust off the mesh and gives a clean finished edge. The antique pewter finish on the mesh has a warm bronze-brown tone that pairs well with brass, copper, black or timber kitchen fittings, while the brushed nickel ceiling plate and black cords add contemporary contrast.

Each of the three E27 sockets accepts bulbs up to 60W (sold separately). Most installations pair this with warm-white LED filament bulbs between 6-8W and 2700K to balance the warm metal tones. The fitting weighs approximately 3.2kg when fully assembled, so the ceiling plate must be fixed into a joist or suitable ceiling structure rather than plasterboard alone.

What bulbs does it take?

The Asher takes three E27 bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately). Most users pair this with warm-white LED filament bulbs between 6-8W and 2700K to complement the antique pewter mesh finish.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. Each of the three cords is supplied at 2896mm length and can be shortened during installation to set the pendant height between 336mm and 3079mm from the ceiling. The cords are adjusted individually, allowing the three shades to hang at different heights if desired.

What table or counter width does it suit?

The 735mm bar width works well above dining tables or kitchen islands between 1.5m and 2.5m long. For longer islands or tables, consider spacing two Asher pendants along the length rather than using a single fitting.

How is the perforated mesh cleaned?

The clear glass outer keeps most dust off the mesh. If the mesh does collect dust, remove the outer glass shade (it lifts off once the bulb is removed) and wipe the mesh gently with a dry microfibre cloth. Do not use water or cleaning sprays on the mesh, as moisture can discolour the antique pewter finish.
