Description

The Asher is a 216mm mini pendant light combining a clear glass outer shade with a perforated metal inner cylinder, suspended on a black fabric cord from a brushed silver canopy. The dual-layer shade structure creates a filtered light effect where the E27 bulb (sold separately) illuminates the perforated metal cylinder, casting patterned shadows through the clear glass and into the surrounding space.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, hallway runs and dining nooks, the Asher works as a single statement piece or in multiples spaced 400-600mm apart along a counter. The 2896mm cord length allows drops from 336mm up to 3079mm, accommodating standard ceiling heights of 2.4m and vaulted ceilings of 3m or higher. The pendant accepts any E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 60W, giving control over light temperature and brightness to suit the application.

The perforated metal cylinder inside the clear glass shade is finished in a low-sheen silver that matches the ceiling canopy, while the black fabric cord provides visual contrast and conceals the electrical cable. The 216mm diameter keeps the pendant compact enough for narrow hallways and kitchen peninsulas without dominating smaller spaces, while the clear glass ensures the fixture remains visually light even when grouped in threes or fives above an island.

What's the minimum ceiling height needed?

The minimum drop of 336mm plus the 298mm fitting height gives a total pendant length of 634mm. For a kitchen island application where the pendant needs to sit 700-800mm above the worktop, a ceiling height of 2.4m or above is recommended.
