Description
The Aruba is a 12cm diameter cylindrical pendant light with a polished silver metal body and a single E27 socket. The cylinder sits open at the bottom, directing light downwards onto a worktop, table or bar surface, with some spill light reflected off the polished inner surface of the shade.
Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, bar counters and office desks where focused downlight is needed, the Aruba works as a single pendant over a small table or in multiples (typically three or five) along a longer island or counter. The 400-1500mm adjustable drop allows the pendant to be set 600-800mm above a worktop depending on ceiling height, or 700-900mm above a dining table. The slim cable and compact canopy suit standard UK ceiling roses.
The polished silver finish reflects surrounding light and brightens under both daylight and artificial room lighting, which makes the pendant read as a lighter presence than matt or powder-coated alternatives. The 12cm diameter provides enough shade width to direct light without appearing undersized, while the 0.63kg weight makes it straightforward to install on plasterboard ceilings without additional reinforcement. The E27 socket accepts standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), giving control over colour temperature and brightness to suit the space.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Aruba takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for task lighting over kitchen islands or dining tables.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself has no integrated dimming electronics, so dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb you choose.
How many should I use over a kitchen island?
For a typical 1.8-2.4m island, three pendants spaced 600-800mm apart works well. For islands longer than 2.4m, consider five pendants. The 12cm diameter provides enough presence to work as a single pendant over a small breakfast table or desk.
Can the drop be shortened after installation?
Yes. The cable is adjustable between 400mm and 1500mm during installation. Once installed, the drop can be adjusted again by accessing the ceiling canopy and re-threading the cable, though this is easier to do during the initial fitting.
