Description

The Artisan is a 12W LED magnetic track spotlight with a cylindrical diamond-textured aluminium shade in white and black trim. The spotlight clips magnetically onto Maytoni's Exility 48V DC track system and rotates 355° horizontally with 90° vertical tilt, allowing light to be directed across walls, onto retail displays, artwork or architectural features.

Designed for retail, gallery, residential and commercial interiors where adjustable accent lighting is needed, the Artisan pairs a recessed LED light source with an integrated HoneyComb-D38 anti-glare filter that prevents direct view of the LED chip from typical viewing angles. The magnetic mounting means spotlights can be repositioned along the track without tools, making it practical for spaces where lighting zones change regularly.

The aluminium construction keeps the spotlight lightweight at approximately 350g per unit, reducing load on ceiling fixings when multiple spotlights run on a single track. The diamond texture on the white shade body diffuses reflected glare and adds grip when adjusting the spotlight angle by hand. The 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light suited to hospitality, residential and retail environments where cooler light would feel clinical.

The 48V DC track voltage means the system requires a separate driver unit (sold separately) installed between the mains supply and the track. This low-voltage approach allows safer handling during installation and reduces the risk of electric shock when adding or removing magnetic spotlights on a live track.

Does this spotlight work on standard mains track systems?

No. The Artisan requires Maytoni's Exility 48V DC magnetic track system, which in turn requires a separate 48V DC driver unit between the mains supply and the track. It will not work on standard 230V mains track lighting systems.

Can spotlights be moved along the track once installed?

Yes. The magnetic mounting allows the spotlight to be repositioned anywhere along the track without tools. The track can remain powered during repositioning due to the low 48V DC voltage.

What is the HoneyComb-D38 anti-glare filter?

The HoneyComb-D38 is a recessed honeycomb-structured filter that sits between the LED chip and the spotlight aperture. It prevents direct view of the LED from typical viewing angles, reducing glare in environments where people look towards the light source.

Is the spotlight dimmable?

Dimming capability depends on the driver unit used to power the track. Compatible dimmable drivers allow the spotlight output to be controlled, but the spotlight itself has no onboard dimming control.
