Artic 20cm Single Light Pendant - Polished Chrome with Sculptural Glass Shade

The Artic is a 200mm single-light pendant from Mantra combining a faceted clear glass shade with a polished chrome canopy and cable suspension. The glass shade is moulded into an angular, sculptural form with multiple facets that catch and refract light, creating shifting reflections across ceilings and walls when the pendant is lit. A single E27 bulb fitting sits inside the shade.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls where a compact yet statement pendant is needed, the Artic works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The drop is adjustable between 350mm minimum and 1500mm maximum, allowing the pendant to be set at the correct height above a surface or centred in a double-height space. The polished chrome finish on the canopy and cable fittings pairs with modern, contemporary and minimalist interiors.

The faceted glass shade weighs 3.1kg when fitted, giving the pendant a substantial presence without overwhelming smaller dining tables or side-table positions. The clear glass allows the bulb inside to remain visible, making it suitable for decorative filament LED bulbs where the bulb itself becomes part of the design. The E27 socket accepts any standard bulb up to the recommended wattage, and dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen rather than the fitting itself.

What bulb does it take?

The Artic takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. The clear faceted glass shade shows the bulb inside, so decorative filament LED bulbs between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K work well visually as well as functionally.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb fitted, not the pendant itself. If you fit a dimmable LED bulb and pair it with a compatible LED dimmer switch, the pendant will dim. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim regardless of the switch used.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 350mm suits ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards when the pendant is used above a dining table or kitchen island. The maximum 1500mm drop allows the pendant to work in double-height spaces or entrance halls where it needs to hang lower into the room.

How is the glass cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulb to cool fully before handling the shade. Wipe the faceted glass with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works without leaving streaks on the clear glass.
