Description
The Arti is a single-light adjustable wall light with a tapered shade woven from dark natural rattan, mounted on a matt black metal arm and backplate. The arm extends 386-482mm from the wall and pivots at two joints, allowing the shade to be angled towards a reading position, a bedside surface, or directed up or down the wall depending on the lighting need.
Designed for bedrooms, hallways and reading corners where adjustable directional light is needed without a fixed ceiling fitting or floor lamp, the Arti suits side-of-bed positions, hallway console tables, and narrow spaces where a pendant would intrude. The woven rattan shade filters light through its weave, softening the output from the E27 bulb inside (sold separately) and casting subtle shadow patterns onto adjacent surfaces. The compact 194mm width and 242mm height keep the visual footprint small when the arm is retracted.
The deep-toned rattan brings natural texture to matt black interiors, Japandi schemes, and rooms with pale walls where the dark shade provides grounding contrast. The rattan is hand-woven into a tapered cone shape, so slight variation in the weave density and tone is normal between individual pieces. The matt black finish on the metal frame absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping the focus on the shade itself. The two-joint arm allows the shade to be swung out for reading, then retracted flush to the wall when not in use.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Arti take?
The fitting takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for reading or ambient light.
How far does the arm extend from the wall?
The arm extends between 386mm and 482mm from the wall surface depending on the angle set at the two pivot joints. When fully retracted the projection is 386mm; when extended for reading it reaches 482mm.
Is the rattan shade consistent between pieces?
No. Each shade is hand-woven from natural rattan, so slight variation in weave density, tonal colour and individual strand thickness is normal. This is a characteristic of natural woven materials, not a defect.
Can the Arti be installed beside a bed for reading?
Yes. The adjustable arm allows the shade to be angled towards a pillow or bedside surface, making it suitable for nightstand replacement or bedside reading where a table lamp is not preferred. The arm can be retracted when not in use.
