Description
The Arti is a single-light wall fitting with a conical shade hand-woven from natural rattan, mounted on an articulated heritage brass arm that pivots from a circular 110mm backplate. The arm extends 386-482mm from the wall and allows the lamp head to be angled for directed task lighting. An E27 socket inside the rattan shade accepts bulbs up to 60W (sold separately).
Designed for bedside positions, reading corners beside armchairs, desk flanks and hallway accent lighting, the Arti provides adjustable directional light rather than ambient wash. The pivot joint at both the wall plate and lamp head allows the shade to be positioned over a pillow for bedtime reading, angled down onto a desk surface, or turned upward to bounce light off a ceiling. The extended arm projection keeps the light source clear of the wall, reducing shadowing.
The rattan weave diffuses direct bulb glare while allowing warm light to filter through the natural fibre texture. Each shade shows variation in the weave density and colour tone depending on the section of rattan used, giving each fitting a slightly different character when lit. The heritage brass finish on the metal components has a warmer, more golden tone than polished brass, with a satin texture that minimises fingerprints and reflections. The combined rattan and brass suits coastal, Scandinavian, bohemian and transitional interiors where natural materials anchor the palette.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Arti take?
The fitting takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for reading or task lighting.
How far does the arm extend from the wall?
The arm extends between 386mm and 482mm from the wall depending on the angle of the pivot joints. This adjustability allows the light to be positioned over a bedside table, angled onto a desk, or turned to direct light upward.
Does the rattan shade vary between fittings?
Yes. Each shade is hand-woven from natural rattan, so the weave density, fibre colour and overall tone differ between individual pieces. This variation is a feature of the natural material, not a defect.
Can the fitting be used in bathrooms?
The Arti carries no IP rating and is not designed for bathroom installation. The natural rattan can absorb moisture in humid environments, which may affect the weave integrity over time. Use in dry indoor spaces only.
