Description

The Aries is a 54cm round wall mirror with a hand-finished silver leaf MDF frame and a bevelled mirror edge. The frame is 4cm deep, giving the mirror a subtle three-dimensional presence when mounted on the wall. The silver leaf finish is applied by hand to the MDF substrate, creating a lightly textured surface that reflects ambient light differently depending on the angle of view.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and dressing areas, the Aries works as both a functional mirror and a decorative accent. The round form softens angular room layouts and pairs well with rectangular furniture such as sideboards, console tables and dressing tables. The bevelled edge on the mirror glass adds depth to the reflective surface and frames the reflection with a subtle prismatic border.

At 4.86kg the mirror requires secure wall fixings appropriate to the wall type — plasterboard, brick or solid walls each need different fixing methods. Is the silver leaf finish delicate?

The silver leaf is applied to an MDF base and sealed, making it more durable than loose leaf on bare wood. However, it will scratch if knocked by hard objects and should not be cleaned with abrasive cloths or chemical sprays. Dust with a soft dry cloth or a barely-damp microfibre if needed.

What size wall does it suit?
