Description

Five clear glass shades sit on a satin black frame, spread wide rather than hung low, so light spills across a table instead of pooling in one spot. Each shade takes a G9 capsule, and the drop is fixed, holding the fitting at a set height. At 54cm across it reads as a large fitting, though the clear glass keeps it visually light and lets the lamps do the work.

We reach for this over a dining table or a kitchen island, where the width covers ground that a row of separate pendants would otherwise be asked to cover. It suits a hallway with the ceiling height to take it, and the splash rating means it copes with the steam and stray water of a bathroom. Fit dimmable capsules and pair them with a suitable dimmer if you want the level down for eating; run at full and there is plenty for prep or paperwork.

The glass is clear throughout and the metalwork carries a satin black finish, a low sheen that shrugs off fingerprints in a way gloss never does. The fitting is double insulated and runs on an ordinary household supply. To clean, switch off and wait for the capsules to go cold, then wipe the glass with a barely damp cloth, dry it and give the frame a pass with something soft. It carries a one year warranty. We stock the same pendant in polished chrome, and there are Aria wall lights in the range if you want the shape echoed at eye level. Lamps are not included, so add capsules to your order if you have none spare.
