Description

Three clear glass shades hang from a slim satin black frame on a fixed drop, spanning 47cm across. The glass is left plain, so the capsule inside stays part of the look, and the black metalwork reads as a quiet outline rather than a heavy one. Each shade takes a G9 capsule, and with dimmable lamps in place the light can be brought down to a softer level in the evening.

We would hang this over a kitchen island or a dining table, where the spread of the shades gives an even wash across the surface without filling the room. It suits a space where you want light spread about rather than one bright pool. It is also splash rated, which brings bathrooms and shower rooms into play, and it is one we suggest where a single flush fitting has been leaving the space feeling flat. Larger hallways and landings suit it as well, provided there is head height to spare beneath it.

Construction is straightforward: pressed clear glass shades on a painted metal frame, double insulated throughout, in a satin black that keeps its softness rather than throwing back hard highlights. Clear glass does show dust and fingermarks, so an occasional wipe with a soft cloth once the power is off and the glass has gone cold will keep it looking right; leave abrasives and solvents well alone. It carries a one year warranty. We stock the same pendant in polished chrome, and there is a matching wall light in both finishes if you want the bathroom or the hallway to follow through, plus a wider version for longer tables. Lamps are not included.
