Description

The Argos is a 50cm drum pendant light with a smoked brown glass outer shade enclosing an interior of cascading crystal droplets, suspended from a polished chrome canopy on height-adjustable cables. Six G9 LED bulbs (included) sit within the crystal array, creating a layered light effect where the crystals scatter points of refracted light outward while the smoked glass diffuses the overall glow into a warm ambient wash.

Designed for dining rooms, double-height entrance halls and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Argos combines decorative impact with functional task lighting. The adjustable cable run allows the pendant to hang anywhere between 40cm and 140cm from the ceiling, giving flexibility to position the fitting 70-80cm above a dining table or higher in a double-height space as a central feature. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses.

The smoked brown glass shade is a single curved drum that wraps around the entire fitting, tinted to a mid-brown translucency that softens the internal crystal array when the light is off and gives a warm amber glow when lit. The crystal droplets inside are clear faceted acrylic arranged in multiple tiers, reflecting and refracting the G9 bulb light across the interior of the glass drum. At 7.63kg the pendant has substantial physical presence, with the weight distributed across the four suspension cables to keep the drum level during installation and use.

The included G9 LED bulbs are dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer (sold separately), allowing the light level to be adjusted from full brightness for task lighting to a low ambient glow for evening use. The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry indoor locations only.

Are the bulbs included?

Yes. The Argos includes six dimmable G9 LED bulbs rated at 10W each. These are pre-installed at the factory and ready to use on first installation.

Is the pendant dimmable?

The included G9 LED bulbs are dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer switch (sold separately). Check the dimmer manufacturer's specification to confirm compatibility with G9 LED loads.

What ceiling height is needed?

The pendant adjusts between 40cm and 140cm drop from the ceiling. For a dining table the fitting typically sits 70-80cm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. Double-height spaces can use the full 140cm drop to position the pendant as a central feature.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the Argos to dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, kitchens with high moisture levels, or any outdoor or covered outdoor locations.
