Description

The Argi is a 3-light pendant built around a sculptural brown oxide metal frame with three taupe fabric drum shades suspended inside its geometric structure. The frame is formed from intersecting metal rings and arcs, each with a square-profile cross-section, creating an open cage-like arrangement that measures 600mm in diameter. Three E27 bulb holders sit inside the taupe shades, which diffuse light through the fabric weave and cast shadows through the open framework onto surrounding surfaces.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above, the Argi works as both a task light source and a sculptural focal point. The 1800mm maximum drop allows the pendant to hang 700-900mm above a dining surface or kitchen worktop, with the chain adjustable down to a 550mm minimum drop for lower ceilings or tighter spaces. The brown oxide finish on the metalwork provides a warm, matte surface that pairs with natural timber, terracotta, warm greys and earth-toned interiors.

Each taupe shade measures approximately 200mm in height with a tapered drum profile, creating three distinct pools of downward light while allowing some upward wash through the open top of the frame. The combined weight of 9.8kg requires a secure ceiling fixing into a joist or reinforced rose. The Argi is dimmable when paired with dimmable E27 LED bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer, allowing light levels to be adjusted for different times of day.

The pendant uses three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 8-12W warm-white LED bulbs at 2700K-3000K for ambient dining or living room lighting. The fabric shades diffuse the light, so higher-lumen bulbs work well without causing glare.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable E27 LED bulbs and connected to a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. Check that your dimmer is rated for LED loads and that the bulbs themselves are marked as dimmable.

What ceiling height is needed?

The pendant works best in rooms with 2.5m or higher ceilings. For a dining table or island, the fitting typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface, which requires ceiling height of at least 2.4m once the 550mm minimum drop and shade height are accounted for.
