Argenta LED Flush Ceiling Light 30W 3000K - Matt Black

The Argenta is a 600mm flush ceiling light with a low-profile dome housing a 30W integrated LED behind a matt black metal shade with a silver inner reflector. The dome sits 140mm from the ceiling, making it a viable option for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where pendant lights would hang too low. The LED casts 3000lm of warm 3000K light downwards and outwards through the gap between the black outer shade and the recessed white diffuser, bouncing off the silver inner surface before dispersing into the room.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining spaces where a single ceiling fitting provides the primary ambient light, the Argenta replaces traditional pendant lights in low-ceiling scenarios. The 600mm diameter covers approximately 3.5-4 square metres of floor space with functional illumination, making it suitable for rooms up to 16-20 square metres when used as the sole light source. The matt black finish absorbs ceiling reflections and pairs well with dark-toned ceilings, white ceilings where contrast is wanted, or mid-grey ceilings in contemporary interiors.

The metal shade is formed from a single pressed piece with a smooth continuous surface and no visible fixings on the underside once installed. The silver inner reflector increases light output by redirecting photons that would otherwise be absorbed by a black interior, giving the 30W LED approximately 20% more perceived brightness than an equivalent all-black fitting. The white diffuser sits recessed within the shade aperture, softening the LED source and reducing glare when viewed from below. At 4kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or a plasterboard toggle rated to the weight.

Is the Argenta dimmable?

No. The integrated 30W LED runs at fixed output on 220-240V mains and is not compatible with dimmer switches. Attempting to fit a dimmer may damage the driver.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 140mm projection makes the Argenta suitable for low ceilings from 2.2m upwards. It works particularly well in rooms where pendant lights would hang into head-height zones or create visual clutter.

What room size does it cover?

The 3000lm output at 3000K provides functional ambient light for rooms up to approximately 16-20 square metres when used as the sole ceiling fitting. Larger rooms or task-intensive spaces may benefit from supplementary wall lights or floor lamps.

How is the fitting installed?

The Argenta weighs 4kg and requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or a plasterboard toggle rated to the weight. The base plate fixes to the ceiling rose, the mains cable connects to the driver housed within the dome, and the shade clips or screws onto the base plate to conceal the wiring.
