Description

The Arena is a 250mm LED bathroom wall light with an opal white acrylic diffuser moulded into vertical wave ridges that mimic windswept sand or fabric folds. An integrated 8W LED module behind the diffuser casts 640lm of warm 3000K light through the ridged surface, creating vertical lines of shadow and highlight across the wall when lit.

Designed for bathrooms, powder rooms and en-suites, the Arena carries an IP44 rating that protects against water splashes, making it suitable for mounting beside mirrors, above vanities or as accent lighting on feature walls. The 80mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting compact enough for narrow walls and recessed alcoves. The non-dimmable LED operates on universal 100-240V mains, suiting UK and international installations.

The white acrylic diffuser is injection-moulded rather than hand-carved, giving a consistent wave pattern across all units and keeping the weight to 485g for straightforward wall mounting on plasterboard or masonry. The ridged texture hides fingerprints better than smooth diffusers and gives the fitting a tactile presence when off. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white light that balances functionality for grooming tasks with a softer ambient quality than cool white LEDs.

Is this suitable for bathroom zones?

The IP44 rating makes the Arena suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the immediate shower enclosure and bath tub areas). It protects against water splashes but is not rated for direct spray or submersion, so it should not be fitted inside a shower cubicle or directly above a bathtub.

Is the LED dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable. If dimming control is required for the space, consider pairing this with a separate dimmable light source on the same circuit.

How is the Arena mounted?

The wall light mounts to a standard UK electrical back box using screws supplied with the fitting. The 485g weight is light enough for secure mounting on plasterboard with appropriate fixings, or directly into masonry with wall plugs.

What does 640lm output provide in practical terms?

640lm is roughly equivalent to a traditional 50-60W incandescent bulb. In a bathroom setting, this provides sufficient task lighting for grooming when positioned beside or above a mirror, or ambient accent lighting when used as a feature wall fixture.
