Description

The Arena Large is a 650mm square LED ceiling or wall light with an opal acrylic diffuser moulded in a continuous wave pattern across its surface. A white-painted metal backplate houses an integrated 45W LED module that outputs 4050 lumens at 3000K warm white through the diffuser. The fitting projects 75mm from the ceiling or wall and carries an IP44 rating for use in bathroom zones 2 and 3.

Designed to mount either flush to a ceiling or vertically on a wall, the Arena Large suits bathrooms, en-suites and wet rooms where overhead or wall-mounted ambient light is needed across a wide area. The 650mm spread distributes light evenly in rooms up to 12-15m² without creating hard shadows or bright spots, making it suitable for family bathrooms, accessible wet rooms and hotel-style en-suites. The IP44 rating protects the fitting from water splashes but does not allow direct spray, so it should be positioned outside shower enclosures and away from bath taps.

The wave texture across the opal diffuser creates depth and visual interest when the light is off, and softens the light output when the fitting is switched on by breaking up the flat plane of the acrylic sheet. The white finish on the backplate integrates cleanly into white or light-toned ceilings and walls without requiring decorative matching. At 5.4kg the fitting needs secure fixing into ceiling joists or wall studs, or appropriate fixings for plasterboard or masonry. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but carries a 3-year warranty and is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation.

Can this be used in a shower room?

The IP44 rating protects the fitting from water splashes but not direct spray. It's suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the immediate shower enclosure area) but should not be installed directly above a shower head or bath taps where it would receive direct water jets.

Is the LED replaceable if it fails?

No. The LED module is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced by the user. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation and carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty. At typical usage of 3 hours per day, this equates to around 22 years of service before the LED output degrades significantly.

What size bathroom does this suit?

The 4050 lumen output and 650mm spread make this fitting suitable for bathrooms and wet rooms up to approximately 12-15m² (a typical family bathroom). For smaller en-suites or cloakrooms, the smaller Arena model may be more proportionate.

Can it be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. If dimming is required, consider a dimmable alternative from the Mantra range or contact us for recommendations.
