Arena Large Dimmable LED Bathroom Ceiling/Wall Light - White

The Arena is a 650mm square LED ceiling or wall light with an opal acrylic diffuser moulded into a wave-pattern relief, fitted on a white metal backplate. The integrated 60W LED produces 4800 lumens and can be adjusted between 3000K warm white and 6500K cool white using the included remote control, which also handles dimming from 100% down to around 10% brightness.

Designed for bathrooms, the Arena carries an IP44 rating and can be mounted on a ceiling above a bath or shower, or vertically on a wall as a feature light opposite a vanity mirror. The 650mm footprint suits rooms of 8-12m² floor area where a single central fitting provides both ambient and task light. The wave relief on the diffuser breaks up direct glare from the LED panel while casting soft shadow lines across the opal surface when viewed from an angle.

The tuneable colour temperature function allows the light to be set to warm 3000K for evening bathing or shifted to 6500K for morning routines where higher colour accuracy is useful for makeup or shaving. The white metal backplate sits 75mm proud of the ceiling or wall and conceals the driver and control electronics. At 5.28kg the fitting needs secure fixings into ceiling joists or wall studs rather than plasterboard alone.

The remote control uses infrared and requires line-of-sight to the fitting's receiver. Once the colour temperature and brightness are set, the fitting remembers the last state when switched off at the wall and returns to it when powered on again, so the remote is only needed when changing settings rather than for daily on/off operation.

Can it be used in a shower room?

The IP44 rating means the Arena is protected against water splashes from any direction, so it can be mounted on a bathroom ceiling above a shower cubicle or bath. It cannot be installed inside a shower enclosure or directly in the path of shower spray.

How is the colour temperature changed?

The included remote control has buttons to shift the LED between 3000K warm white and 6500K cool white, with incremental steps between. The fitting remembers the last colour temperature setting when switched off at the wall, so you don't need to adjust it every time the light is used.

Does it work with wall dimmers?

No. The Arena is controlled by its own remote, which handles both dimming and colour temperature. It needs a standard on/off wall switch. Wiring it through a conventional wall dimmer will interfere with the integrated driver and may damage the electronics.

What size bathroom does it suit?

The 4800lm output and 650mm footprint work well in bathrooms between 8-12m² floor area. Smaller bathrooms may find it overpowering at full brightness, though the dimmer can reduce output. Larger bathrooms above 12m² may benefit from two fittings or supplementary wall lighting around a vanity.
