Description

The Arcus is a 49cm LED table lamp built around a single curved metal arc that rises from a rectangular brushed gold base, loops overhead, and returns to the base in a continuous form. An opal silicone diffuser strip runs along the inner edge of the arc, housing an integrated 14W 3000K LED that delivers 650 lumens of diffused warm-white light without visible hotspots or glare.

Designed for console tables, desk surfaces, side tables in living rooms and bedside use where both task light and ambient glow are needed, the Arcus provides directed downward light from the overhead portion of the arc while the opal diffuser softens the output across the full curve. The lamp operates on 18V low-voltage DC via an external transformer and is rated IP20 for indoor dry-location use only.

The brushed gold finish on the metal frame shows directional grain that reduces reflections and pairs with warm-toned interiors, brass hardware and natural oak or walnut furniture. The arc reaches 25cm wide and projects 12cm from the wall when placed against a rear surface, making it compact enough for narrow console tables or shallow desk corners. The 1.28kg weight gives the lamp stability on most surfaces without requiring fixing, though the rectangular base footprint is smaller than typical tripod or drum-base table lamps.

The LED is non-replaceable and integrated into the diffuser strip, rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation at 3000K with a colour rendering index above 80. The lamp is controlled via an inline switch on the cable and is not dimmable unless paired with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer module between the transformer and mains supply.

Is the Arcus dimmable?

The integrated LED is not dimmable via a standard wall dimmer. The lamp operates on 18V DC via an external transformer, so dimming would require a compatible trailing-edge dimmer module installed between the transformer and mains supply. Contact us for dimmer compatibility advice before purchasing a dimmer for this lamp.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The LED is integrated into the opal silicone diffuser strip and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of continuous operation, which equates to around 10-15 years of typical domestic use at 4-6 hours per day.

What surface does it suit?

The Arcus works on console tables, desks, bedside tables and side tables where the 25cm width and 12cm depth fit the available surface. The rectangular base footprint is narrow, so it sits comfortably on surfaces as shallow as 15-20cm without overhanging the front edge.

Is it suitable for reading?

The 650lm output at 3000K provides warm ambient and task light suitable for reading when positioned beside a chair or on a bedside table. The opal diffuser eliminates glare, but the light is softer and more diffused than a focused reading lamp with an adjustable head.
