Description

The Arcus is a 3-metre white plastic cover designed to clip onto LED aluminium profiles, diffusing strip light into a smooth, uniform glow without visible LED dots or hotspots. The cover measures 15mm wide by 5mm deep, fitting standard recessed or surface-mount LED profile channels used in under-cabinet lighting, shelving, display cases and architectural installations.

Designed for residential and commercial applications, the Arcus cover transforms exposed LED strip into a continuous light line by scattering individual LED points through its translucent white plastic. It fits into the top channel of compatible aluminium profiles, where it's held in place by friction clips or side rails depending on the profile design. The cover can be cut to length during installation using a fine-toothed saw if the full 3m length isn't needed.

The white plastic provides around 85-90% light transmission, meaning it retains most of the strip's output while softening the beam. The 15mm projection keeps the profile compact enough for shallow cabinet depths and tight recesses. The material is UV-stabilised to resist yellowing under prolonged exposure to LED light, and its rigid but flexible construction allows it to bend slightly when being clipped into curved or angled profile runs without cracking.

Frequently Asked

What profiles does this cover fit?

The Arcus cover fits standard 15mm-wide LED aluminium profiles with a top-mounted channel or side-rail clips. Check your profile's top opening width before ordering — some profiles use 17mm or 20mm covers instead.

Can it be cut to a shorter length?

Yes. Use a fine-toothed saw or a sharp craft knife with a straight edge to cut the cover to the required length. Cut slowly to avoid cracking the plastic.

Does it reduce light output?

The white diffuser provides around 85-90% light transmission, so there's a minor reduction in brightness compared to an exposed LED strip. The trade-off is a smooth, uniform light line without visible LED dots.

Can it be used outdoors?

The plastic is UV-stabilised to resist yellowing, but the cover itself is not IP-rated. It can be used in outdoor applications only when fitted into a sealed, weatherproof aluminium profile designed for exterior use.
