Description

The Arcus is a 2m LED profile cover moulded from white aluminium, designed to clip onto compatible LED strip mounting channels. The profile measures 15mm in projection from the wall or ceiling surface and 50mm in depth, creating a diffused linear light strip rather than exposing individual LED diodes.

Used in kitchens under wall cabinets, in retail displays for product shelf lighting, in showrooms for continuous wall washing, and in commercial corridors where clean linear lighting is needed without visible fittings. The cover fits over the LED strip channel after the strip has been installed and wired, clipping into place along the length of the channel. The aluminium acts as a heat sink, drawing heat away from the LED strip to reduce thermal stress and extend LED life.

The white finish diffuses the light output, turning a row of point-source LEDs into a continuous soft glow without visible bright spots or dark gaps between diodes. The aluminium construction is rigid enough to span 2m without sagging when clipped into the channel, and the surface can be wiped clean with a damp cloth to remove dust from kitchen environments or retail spaces. The 15mm projection keeps the fitting low-profile against surfaces.

No. The Arcus is a cover only. You need a compatible LED strip mounting channel and the LED strip itself, both sold separately. The cover clips onto the channel after the strip is installed.

What LED strip width does it fit?

The Arcus is designed for use with Ideal Lux LED profile channels. Check the channel specifications to confirm compatibility with your LED strip width before ordering.

Can it be cut to length?

Yes. Aluminium LED profile covers can be cut to shorter lengths using a hacksaw or mitre saw with a fine-tooth blade. Deburr the cut edge before fitting to avoid sharp edges.

How is it cleaned?

Wipe the white aluminium surface with a damp microfibre cloth to remove dust and grease. For kitchen installations where grease buildup occurs, a mild detergent solution can be used. Avoid abrasive cleaners that scratch the aluminium finish.
