The Arctis Small is a compact outdoor wall light with an integrated 1.5W LED delivering warm 3000K light through a recessed aperture in a white aluminium housing. The rectangular body measures 100mm wide by 66mm projection from the wall, with the LED positioned behind a stepped internal baffle that directs light downward onto paths, steps and entrances.

Designed for UK domestic and commercial exterior use, the Arctis suits positions where subtle marking or accent lighting is needed rather than high-output area illumination. Typical applications include patio edges, garden steps, garage entrances, gate posts and low boundary walls where a compact fitting is required. The IP65 rating gives full protection against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making the fitting suitable for exposed coastal and high-rainfall locations.

The white powder-coated aluminium body resists corrosion and UV degradation in outdoor conditions, and the matte finish minimises glare under daytime sun. The 1.5W LED is non-replaceable but rated for approximately 30,000 hours of operation, equivalent to 10 years of use at 8 hours per night. The fitting connects to standard 230V mains wiring and includes a 5-year manufacturer warranty from Ideal Lux.

Is this bright enough for security lighting?

No. The 1.5W output is designed for accent and marker lighting on paths, steps and entrances rather than area security illumination. For security applications, consider a higher-output LED wall light or floodlight from the Ideal Lux range.

The Arctis mounts to a standard outdoor wall surface using two fixing points. The rear of the housing includes cable entry points for connection to mains wiring. Installation should be completed by a qualified electrician in compliance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.
