Description

The Arco is a 119x80cm arched leaner mirror with a black-painted wood frame divided by window-style glazing bars into twelve panes. The arch at the top follows a Gothic-inspired curve, while the vertical and horizontal bars segment the mirror glass into a grid that references traditional casement windows. The mirror leans against the wall rather than hanging, making it suitable for rooms where wall fixings are impractical or where a floor-standing statement piece is preferred.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and dressing areas, the Arco works in both traditional and contemporary settings where the window-pane aesthetic adds architectural interest. The 119cm height allows full-length reflection when positioned on the floor, while the 80cm width gives enough visual presence to anchor a wall without dominating smaller rooms. The 4cm depth accommodates the rebated frame around the mirror glass and provides stability when leaned at a typical angle of 5-10 degrees from vertical.

The black-painted wood frame absorbs light rather than reflecting it, creating a defined edge against pale walls and allowing the mirror glass to act as the focal point. The glazing bars sit on top of the mirror rather than separating individual panes, so the reflection is continuous behind the grid. At 10kg the mirror has enough mass to stay stable against a wall on carpet or hardwood without needing additional weights or brackets, though wall fixings can be added if preferred.

Frequently Asked

Does the Arco need to be wall-mounted or can it lean?

The Arco is designed as a leaner mirror and stands stable when positioned against a wall at a 5-10 degree angle from vertical. Wall fixings can be added for additional security in high-traffic areas or households with children, but they are not required for typical use.

Are the window panes separate pieces of glass?

No. The glazing bars sit on top of a single continuous pane of mirror glass, so the reflection is unbroken behind the grid. The bars are decorative rather than structural divisions.

What wall colour works best with the black frame?

The black frame provides maximum contrast against white, off-white, pale grey and soft neutral walls. It also pairs well with darker accent walls in charcoal, navy or forest green where the Gothic arch shape becomes the primary visual feature.

How is the mirror cleaned?

Use a standard glass cleaner or a solution of distilled water and white vinegar on the mirror surface. Wipe the black wood frame with a barely-damp microfibre cloth to remove dust, avoiding soaking the wood or using solvent-based cleaners that may damage the painted finish.
