The Arco is a 1.63m column floor lamp from Mantra with four G9 bulb fittings set vertically along a satin nickel frame. Each fitting sits behind a frosted cylindrical diffuser that softens and spreads the light output across the column height. The lamp base measures 320mm x 200mm and weighs 8kg, giving stable placement on hard floors and short-pile rugs without additional weighting.

Designed to provide ambient light along a vertical plane rather than from a single overhead point, the Arco suits corners of living rooms, spaces beside sofas where floor space is limited but height is available, and entrance halls where a tall presence is useful. The four-point vertical spread of light reduces shadows on walls and creates a softer wash than single-bulb floor lamps. The lamp is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 halogen bulbs, allowing output to be adjusted from full brightness for task lighting down to a low glow for evening ambient use.

The satin nickel finish on the metal frame provides a brushed metallic surface that sits between the warmth of brass and the cooler tone of polished chrome. This makes the Arco compatible with both warm-toned and neutral interior schemes. The frosted diffusers hide the bulbs themselves and prevent direct glare when walking past the lamp. Each G9 fitting accepts bulbs up to 40W, giving a maximum total output of 160W across the four fittings when using halogen bulbs. The lamp uses four G9 halogen bulbs up to 40W each, sold separately. LED and CFL G9 bulbs are not compatible with this model due to the lamp's internal wiring configuration. Use dimmable G9 halogen bulbs if you intend to use the lamp with a dimmer switch.

Is the Arco dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 halogen bulbs and connected to a compatible dimmer switch on the wall circuit. The lamp itself does not include an integrated dimmer control.

The lamp stands 1.63m tall from the floor. Standard UK residential ceiling heights of 2.4m or above provide comfortable clearance. The lamp works in rooms with lower ceilings but may feel visually prominent in spaces below 2.3m.

Is it stable on rugs?

The 320mm x 200mm base and 8kg weight provide good stability on bare floors and short-pile rugs. On thicker or shag rugs the base may benefit from being placed where it sits partially on bare floor to prevent tilting.
