Description

The Arco is a 270mm-tall wall light with two frosted glass diffusers mounted on a satin nickel backplate, each housing a G9 bulb (sold separately). The frosted glass wraps around the bulb to diffuse light evenly across the surface, reducing glare and softening shadows. The satin nickel finish gives a low-sheen metallic tone that sits between brushed chrome and polished nickel in reflectivity.

Designed for hallways, bathrooms (non-zone), bedrooms and living room accent lighting, the Arco provides ambient wash light rather than task illumination. The 50mm projection keeps the fitting close to the wall, making it suitable for narrower corridors and alcoves where deeper fittings would intrude. The dual-bulb configuration spreads light vertically along the wall, which works well flanking mirrors, doorways or running in multiples along a corridor.

The G9 socket accepts capsule-style bulbs up to 40W each (80W total), and the fitting is compatible with dimmable G9 LEDs when paired with a trailing-edge dimmer. The frosted diffusers are removable for bulb replacement, and the satin nickel backplate mounts to a standard UK electrical box with screws concealed behind the main body once fitted. At 0.70kg the fitting is light enough for plasterboard wall mounting with suitable fixings.

What bulbs does it take?

The Arco takes two G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Maximum 40W per bulb (80W total). Most users pair this with 3-5W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 LED bulbs and paired with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. The fitting itself is dimmer-compatible but requires dimmable lamps to function on a dimmer circuit.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The fitting carries no IP rating and is not designed for use in bathroom zones 0, 1 or 2. It can be used in bathrooms outside the zoned areas (typically more than 600mm from a bath or shower enclosure) where no IP rating is required.

How is it fitted to the wall?

The backplate mounts to a standard UK electrical box using screws. Once wired, the main body clips or screws onto the backplate, concealing the fixings. The 0.70kg weight is suitable for plasterboard walls with appropriate cavity fixings if no back box is present.
