Description

The Arc is a 235mm diameter table lamp with a white-painted metal base, a tulip-style stem, and a fabric-covered PVC shade. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the shade, diffusing light through the white fabric to provide soft ambient illumination across a bedside table, desk surface or reading corner.

Designed for compact spaces where a traditional larger table lamp would overwhelm the available surface area, the Arc suits bedside tables in smaller bedrooms, corner desks in home offices, and side tables next to armchairs in living rooms. The 235mm footprint leaves room for books, a phone or a cup next to the lamp on a typical 400-500mm wide bedside table. The white finish pairs cleanly with Scandinavian, contemporary and coastal interiors, and works as a neutral anchor in rooms with coloured walls or textiles.

The metal base provides stability without adding unnecessary weight, and the white paint finish is matte rather than gloss, reducing reflections under daylight. The PVC core of the shade gives it rigidity while the fabric covering softens the light diffusion, avoiding the harsh edge you get from bare plastic or unlined paper shades. What bulb does it take?

The Arc takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside or ambient lighting, or a cooler 4000K daylight bulb for desk task lighting.

Is it suitable for a bedside table?

Yes. The 235mm diameter leaves enough space on a typical bedside table for books, a phone and a glass of water. The fabric shade diffuses light softly, making it suitable for reading in bed without harsh glare.

Can it be used with a dimmer switch?

The lamp itself is not dimmable, but you can use a dimmable E27 LED bulb with a compatible plug-in dimmer inline on the cable. Standard wall dimmer switches will not work unless the bulb is explicitly rated as dimmable.
