Description

The Arc Large is a table lamp with a white-painted metal stem shaped into a narrow-waisted column, topped with a 320mm diameter fabric-covered PVC shade. The shade tapers outward from a narrow top to a wider base, diffusing light from a single E27 bulb (sold separately) in a soft, downward-focused spread. The matt white finish covers both the metal stem and the shade, creating a monochrome appearance.

Designed for side tables, bedside tables, and desks in residential or office settings, the Arc sits on a circular base that keeps the centre of gravity low despite the narrow stem. The IP20 rating limits the lamp to dry indoor use — living rooms, bedrooms, studies and hallways. The lamp accepts any standard E27 bulb up to the maximum wattage shown in the Specification tab, allowing control over light temperature and brightness depending on bulb choice.

The fabric-covered PVC shade softens the light output and prevents harsh glare when viewed at eye level from a seated position. The matt white paint on the metal stem resists fingerprints better than gloss finishes and pairs with neutral, Scandinavian and minimalist interiors without introducing additional colour. The lamp stands approximately 450-500mm tall based on typical Arc stem proportions, though exact height is not listed in the provided data.

Frequently Asked

What bulb does the Arc Large take?

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient bedside or table lighting.

Is the Arc Large dimmable?

The lamp itself is not dimmable. Dimming would depend on pairing a dimmable E27 bulb with a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit, but this is not guaranteed to work with all bulb types.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the lamp is designed for dry indoor areas only. It is not splash-proof and should not be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any area where moisture is present.

How is the shade cleaned?

The fabric-covered PVC shade can be dusted with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For light marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric or using household sprays, which may discolour the material or leave streaks.
