Description

The Arangona is a three light cluster pendant: a round black steel ceiling canopy with three grey matt glass globes hung at staggered heights beneath it. It measures 150cm tall overall and 45.5cm in diameter, so the drop needs a room with a reasonable ceiling height, and the cluster sits within a compact circle. Each globe takes an E27 bulb of up to 40W. Bulbs are not included, which leaves the choice of colour temperature and brightness to you. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room, rather than a bathroom or a porch.

We like it most over a dining table or a kitchen island, where the three globes at different heights give the eye something to follow and bring the light down to more than one level. It works just as well in a hallway or a stairwell, where the staggered drop fills a tall space with more interest than one pendant could manage. The black canopy and grey glass sit comfortably in a monochrome scheme, and they look equally at home against warm wood and pale walls. For anyone who wants a cluster light without a heavy, ornate look, the plain globes keep things calm.

The body is steel in a black finish, and the shades are glass in a grey matt finish that softens the look of the bulb inside each globe. There is no switch on the light itself. It is switched at the wall, so it works with your existing light switch. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and as a wired mains light it should be installed by a qualified electrician. The packed weight is 4.459KG, worth knowing when you lift the box. The installation instructions are available as a download, so your electrician can read them before the day of fitting.
