Description
The Arabella is a 406mm flush-mount ceiling light with a distressed gold metal frame cut into a Moroccan-inspired quatrefoil lattice pattern, wrapping around an ivory linen fabric shade. Two E27 bulbs sit behind a white glass diffuser beneath the shade, casting light upwards through the linen and downwards through the glass for both ambient and direct illumination.
Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or lower where a pendant would hang too far into the space, the Arabella's 203mm projection from ceiling to base makes it suitable for bedrooms, hallways, landings and low-ceiling living rooms. The flush-mount design fixes directly to the ceiling rose without a chain or rod, giving a clean profile that suits both traditional and transitional interiors. The quatrefoil cutwork casts patterned shadows onto the ceiling when lit, adding decorative interest beyond the direct light output.
The distressed gold finish shows tonal variation and darker patina in the recessed areas of the metalwork, giving the frame an aged appearance rather than a bright polished look. This pairs well with warm neutrals, creams and heritage colour schemes. The ivory linen shade softens the light output and reduces glare compared to an open bulb or clear glass shade. The fitting accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 60W per socket (bulbs sold separately), giving flexibility to choose colour temperature and brightness to suit the room.

Frequently Asked
Is this suitable for low ceilings?
Yes. The 203mm projection from ceiling to base makes the Arabella suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or lower, where a pendant light would hang too far into the space. It fixes flush to the ceiling rose without any drop.
What bulbs does it take?
The Arabella takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedroom or hallway use.
Does the gold finish show wear over time?
The distressed gold finish is intentionally aged-looking from manufacture, with darker patina in the recessed areas. This is a design feature rather than actual wear. The finish is lacquered to prevent further tarnishing under normal indoor conditions.
Can the shade be cleaned?
The ivory linen shade can be lightly dusted with a soft brush or vacuum attachment. For marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric. Do not machine wash or use chemical cleaners on the linen.
