Description

The Aquaria is a 6 light cluster pendant from Schuller built around faceted glass shades filled with trapped air bubbles, suspended on adjustable cables from a 39cm diameter matte gold canopy. Each of the six glass pieces houses an integrated LED section totalling 24W across the cluster, delivering 3000K warm white light that refracts through the bubbles and faceted surfaces.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights between 2.4-3.2m, the Aquaria's staggered drop creates a cascading effect without overwhelming smaller spaces. The cables are individually adjustable during installation from a minimum 30cm drop to a maximum 140cm, allowing the cluster to be tailored to specific ceiling heights and table positions. The matte gold finish on the canopy and cable caps reduces reflections and pairs with both warm-toned and neutral contemporary interiors.

The bubble-filled glass is mouth-blown, so the distribution and size of trapped air pockets varies between individual shades, giving each cluster a subtly different appearance when lit. The glass itself is clear with a slight smoke tint visible in the image, which softens the LED output and adds depth to the refracted light. At 9.39kg the fitting requires a ceiling joist or reinforced rose capable of supporting the combined weight of the canopy, cables and glass.

The IP20 rating limits the Aquaria to dry indoor environments only. The Class 1 electrical classification requires an earth connection during installation. The integrated LEDs are non-replaceable, with an expected lifespan typical of commercial-grade LED modules rated at 3000K.

Are the LEDs dimmable?

The integrated LEDs are rated at 24W total output across the six shades. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model and LED driver configuration. Please contact us to confirm compatibility before pairing with a dimmer switch.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The cables are individually adjustable between 30cm and 140cm during installation. Once set and the canopy is fixed to the ceiling, adjusting the drop requires removing the canopy and resetting each cable length.

What ceiling height is needed?

For a dining table or kitchen island the cluster typically sits 70-90cm above the surface. With the minimum 30cm drop this works in rooms with 2.4m ceilings. Higher ceilings up to 3.2m can use the maximum 140cm drop to position the cluster at the same working height above a table.

Do the glass shades vary between pieces?

Yes. The bubble-filled glass is mouth-blown, so the distribution, size and quantity of trapped air pockets differs between individual shades. This is a characteristic of the artisan manufacturing process, not a defect.
