Description

The APUS is a recessed LED step light that marks edges and treads with a low, controlled glow rather than lighting a whole room. It draws just 0.8W at 12V DC and puts out 14 lumens of 4000K cool white light, enough to pick out a step underfoot without dazzle. Buyers in the US will recognise the format as a recessed step light, the small square plate that sits flush in the wall beside a staircase. The square face measures 75 x 75 mm and projects only 23 mm into the wall, so it reads as a discreet point of light low down on the wall line.

Because the output is deliberately small, this fitting is about wayfinding rather than ambient brightness, so it suits the side walls of indoor staircases, the skirting line of a hallway, or a landing where you want the route lit without a bright overhead. Several units spaced down a flight give an even run of marker lights, with each one washing a soft pool across the adjacent tread.
