Description

The Antic is a single-light wall fitting from Maytoni with a cognac-coloured ribbed glass cylinder shade suspended from a curved polished gold arm. The arm extends 26.5cm from the wall-mounted backplate and arcs down from a central pivot ball, positioning the glass shade approximately 10cm clear of the wall. The fitting takes a single E14 bulb up to 40W (sold separately).

Designed for residential living rooms, bedrooms and hallways, the Antic provides accent lighting rather than primary illumination. The ribbed texture on the cognac glass creates vertical striations of light and shadow when the bulb is lit, adding depth to the glow cast onto adjacent walls. The curved arm allows the shade to hang clear of furniture placed against the wall, making it suitable for installation above sideboards, console tables or bedheads.
