Description

The Antic is a 2-light wall light built around two ribbed cognac glass cylinders arranged vertically on either side of a brushed gold metal sphere, mounted on a circular backplate. Each glass cylinder houses a single E14 bulb (sold separately), with the ribbed texture diffusing light outward in all directions while maintaining a warm amber glow through the cognac-tinted glass.

Designed for hallways, bedroom walls beside a bed, and living room accent positions where vertical space allows, the 43.5cm height suits walls with clear space above and below the fitting. The backplate fixes directly to the wall using standard UK electrical boxes, and the 10cm projection from wall to outer edge of the glass keeps the fitting clear of door swings and corridor traffic. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry internal locations away from bathrooms and wet zones.

The ribbed glass is moulded rather than hand-cut, giving uniform vertical channels that catch and refract light in repeating patterns across the surface. The Antic takes two E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each rated up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs around 4-6W and 2700K to complement the cognac glass tint.

Can it be installed in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting has no protection against moisture ingress and must only be installed in dry internal rooms away from bathrooms, wet rooms and kitchens above sinks or hobs.
