Description

The Anorias is a three light pendant that hangs three smoked glass globes of different sizes from a round ceiling canopy. The body is steel in a black nickel finish, and the globes are vaporised glass in a black, see-through tint with a mirror-like sheen, so they read as dark, polished spheres even when unlit. It stands 150cm high overall and is 42cm in diameter. The light comes from integrated LEDs giving 650 lumens, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room.

Hung above a dining table, the staggered globes gather the light where people sit and talk, and the cluster works just as well over a kitchen island or in a living room with a generous ceiling height. Because the light is colour-changing, you can move from a clear white for supper or reading to a wash of colour for an evening with friends. The colour temperature adjusts too, so the same pendant can glow warm and cosy late at night or cooler and crisper through the day. It suits anyone who wants one fitting to set several moods without adding extra lamps.

It is dimmable, and there is no switch on the pendant itself: power is switched at the wall, then brightness, colour and colour temperature are controlled by an app or by the remote control, which comes in the box. That means every setting can be changed from your chair at the table. It runs at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and the packed weight is 5.54KG. As a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a PDF download. Before you order, it is worth checking your ceiling height against the 150cm overall height so the globes sit at a comfortable height above your table.
