Description

The Andromeda is a 120mm glass pendant light combining a frosted inner cone with a clear outer shade and light gold metalwork. The integrated 5W LED sits inside the frosted cone, casting 500 lumens of 3000K warm white light outward through both the frosted and clear glass layers. The light gold canopy and suspended metal sleeve provide the finish contrast against the glass.

Designed for kitchens, dining areas, hallways and bedrooms, the Andromeda works as a single statement piece over a breakfast bar or in multiples over a dining table or kitchen island. The adjustable drop ranges from 230mm minimum to 2000mm maximum, allowing installation in spaces with ceiling heights from 2.4m to 4m+. The 120mm diameter keeps the fitting compact enough for smaller rooms while the dual-layer glass construction gives it visual presence when lit.

The frosted inner cone diffuses the LED into a soft glow, while the clear outer shade adds a second layer of refraction and reflection without blocking the light. The light gold finish on the canopy and sleeve reads as a warm metallic accent rather than bright yellow gold, pairing comfortably with brass hardware, warm timber tones and neutral wall colours. At 0.39kg the pendant is light enough to hang from standard ceiling roses without additional support.

Mantra manufactures the Andromeda in Spain. The glass shades are hand-finished, so minor variations in the frosted-to-clear transition line can occur between individual pieces. The integrated LED is non-replaceable and rated for 25,000+ hours of operation.

No. The integrated 5W LED operates at full brightness only and is not compatible with dimmer switches.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and rated for 25,000+ hours of operation. When the LED reaches end of life, the entire pendant would need replacing.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The drop is adjustable from 230mm to 2000mm on installation. For positioning over a dining table or kitchen island, the pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Higher ceilings can use more of the available 2000mm drop to create greater visual impact.

How is the glass cleaned?

The clear and frosted glass can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth dampened with glass cleaner or distilled water. Remove dust from the light gold metalwork with a dry cloth. Switch off the power before cleaning.
