Description

The Andromeda is a 120mm glass pendant light combining a chrome-plated outer shade with a frosted glass inner diffuser and a light gold canopy. An integrated 5W LED sits inside the frosted diffuser, casting 500 lumens of 3000K warm white light that bounces off the reflective chrome outer layer before diffusing outward.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, bedside pendants and hallway features, the Andromeda works singly or in multiples where a compact pendant is needed without overpowering the space. The adjustable drop from 230mm to 2000mm allows the pendant to be positioned 600-800mm above a worktop or higher above a side table depending on ceiling height and function. The 0.39kg weight keeps it light enough for standard ceiling roses without reinforcement.

The chrome finish on the outer glass shade reflects surrounding colours and surfaces, creating a mirrored effect that changes with the light conditions in the room. The frosted inner diffuser prevents direct LED glare and softens the light output. The light gold canopy at the ceiling gives a warm metallic accent that pairs with brass hardware, warm timber tones and neutral interiors where chrome alone might read too clinical.

Is the Andromeda dimmable?

No. The integrated 5W LED is not compatible with dimmer switches and runs at a fixed output of 500 lumens when powered on.

What length drop is suitable for a kitchen island?

For a typical kitchen island or breakfast bar, position the pendant 600-800mm above the worktop surface. With a standard 2.4m ceiling height, this usually means setting the total drop to 1400-1600mm during installation.

Can multiple Andromedas be installed in a row?

Yes. The compact 120mm diameter makes the Andromeda suitable for installing in groups of two or three above a kitchen island or dining table. Space pendants 600-800mm apart to avoid visual crowding.

How is the chrome finish maintained?

Wipe the chrome outer shade with a soft microfibre cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with water is acceptable, but avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the glass as they can leave streaks on the reflective surface.
