Description
The Andrea is a 670mm five-light chandelier built on a polished chrome frame with curved arms radiating from a central column, each arm supporting a white fabric shade and terminating in a black crystal teardrop accent. The five E14 fittings (bulbs sold separately) sit inside the fabric shades, which diffuse light evenly across dining tables, hallways and living rooms. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light, giving the fitting a bright, reflective presence under daylight.
Designed for ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Andrea's drop is adjustable between 700mm and 2000mm on installation, allowing it to be set 700-800mm above a dining table or lowered further in double-height entrance halls. The 670mm diameter suits tables 1400-1800mm long or open-plan dining zones in rooms 4-5m wide. The chain and cable run through the polished chrome canopy, which fits standard UK ceiling roses.
The white fabric shades are a fine-weave textile that softens the light output without blocking it entirely, producing warm ambient illumination rather than directed task light. The black crystal accents sit beneath each arm where it curves downward, creating a visual counterpoint to the polished chrome and anchoring the composition. The frame weighs 3.6kg including shades and chain, requiring secure ceiling fixings in plasterboard or solid ceilings. The Andrea is from Mantra's Spanish-designed decorative lighting collection.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Andrea take?
The chandelier takes five E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to achieve ambient dining light without glare through the fabric shades.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, provided you use dimmable E14 bulbs and pair the chandelier with a compatible dimmer switch. Dimmer compatibility varies by bulb brand, so confirm compatibility before purchasing bulbs.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 700mm minimum drop means the chandelier requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m to hang 700-800mm above a dining table without dominating the sightline. The maximum 2000mm drop suits double-height entrance halls or vaulted ceilings.
Can the fabric shades be cleaned?
The white fabric shades can be dusted with a soft brush or microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, remove the shades from the frame (they typically unclip or unscrew) and vacuum gently on a low setting. Avoid soaking the fabric or using household sprays, as this can stain or weaken the textile.
