Description

The Andes is a 290mm-tall outdoor LED wall light with a curved arm that angles upward from a rectangular base, directing integrated 6W LED light onto the wall surface behind it. The matt black aluminium body houses a single LED module that emits 550 lumens at 3000K warm white through a 112° beam angle, creating a wash of light up and across the wall rather than projecting forward into the garden or pathway.

Designed for external walls adjacent to entrances, architectural features, or along fence lines where upward wall-washing creates depth after dark, the Andes carries an IP65 rating for full outdoor exposure to rain, dust and coastal conditions. The 75mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting compact on narrow facades or beside doorways where projection space is limited. The curved arm form gives the wall a three-dimensional accent when lit, particularly on rendered or textured surfaces where the light picks out relief.

The matt black powder-coated finish absorbs daylight reflections and recedes into darker wall colours, allowing the light output to define the fixture after dusk rather than the body itself. The 110mm width and 0.5kg weight make the Andes easy to mount on brick, block or timber cladding using standard wall plugs and the pre-drilled backplate. The non-dimmable LED runs directly on 220-240V mains without requiring a separate driver box, simplifying installation where back-of-wall access is limited.

Does the light shine forward or onto the wall?

The curved arm directs the LED output upward and backward onto the wall surface behind the fitting, creating a wash of light across the wall rather than projecting forward into the garden. This makes it suitable for accent lighting architectural features or creating ambient background light near entrances.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED module is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The rated lifespan of the LED is typically 25,000-30,000 hours, equivalent to approximately 10-12 years of typical evening outdoor use.

Can it be mounted on timber cladding?

Yes. The 0.5kg weight and pre-drilled backplate allow the Andes to be fixed to brick, block, render or timber cladding using appropriate wall plugs and screws for the substrate. Ensure the cable entry point is sealed where the mains cable enters the back of the fitting to maintain the IP65 rating.
