Description
The Amelia is a 1200mm linear suspension light built around an elongated glass panel embedded with crystal buttons, suspended from a polished chrome canopy on adjustable cables. An integrated 60W LED sits behind the glass, casting 5100 lumens through the crystal surface. The remote control adjusts colour temperature from warm 3000K to cool 6000K and dims the output, allowing the light to shift from warm evening ambience to bright task lighting over a kitchen island or dining table.
Designed for spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Amelia works as primary lighting over kitchen islands between 2m-2.5m long, dining tables seating six to eight, or reception counters in hospitality and retail settings. The 200mm minimum drop suits standard 2.4m ceilings, while the 1550mm maximum drop accommodates double-height spaces or vaulted ceilings. The linear 1200mm x 300mm footprint directs light along the length of a worktop or table without spilling excessively into adjoining areas.
The polished chrome frame reflects surrounding light, while the crystal buttons embedded in the glass panel create individual points of refraction, turning the fitting into a decorative element when viewed from below. The substantial 12kg weight comes from the combination of metal frame, thick glass panel and internal LED assembly, requiring a ceiling fixing rated for at least 15kg. The tuneable white function replaces the need for separate warm and cool fittings in spaces where lighting requirements change throughout the day.

Frequently Asked
How does the remote control work?
The remote adjusts both colour temperature (from warm 3000K to cool 6000K) and brightness level. The fitting stores the last setting when switched off at the wall, so it returns to that setting when power is restored. The remote requires line-of-sight to the fitting and operates within approximately 8m range.
What ceiling fixing is needed for the 12kg weight?
The ceiling fixing point must be rated for at least 15kg to provide a safety margin. Standard plasterboard ceiling roses are not sufficient — the fitting requires a joist-mounted fixing, a concrete anchor in a solid ceiling, or a spreader plate across multiple joists in older lath-and-plaster ceilings.
What length island or table does this suit?
The 1200mm length works best over islands or tables between 2m-2.5m long, positioned centrally. For shorter islands under 1.8m the fitting may overpower the space; for longer islands over 2.8m a second Amelia or a different multi-pendant arrangement provides more even light distribution.
Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?
Yes. The suspension cables feed through the chrome canopy and can be shortened or lengthened during installation. Once the cables are cut to the desired drop and the canopy is fixed to the ceiling, further adjustment requires removing the canopy and re-threading the cables.
