The two G9 fittings accept capsule bulbs up to 40W each (sold separately), and the lamp is compatible with dimmable G9 LEDs when paired with a compatible dimmer. The 300mm diameter circular base provides stability on carpet and hard floors, and the 8.2kg weight keeps the lamp grounded when positioned near foot traffic.

The frosted glass shades hide the bulb filament or LED array from direct view, softening the light output and reducing glare when the lamp is viewed from seated positions. Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 LED bulbs and connected to a compatible dimmer switch. Not all G9 LEDs are dimmable, so check the bulb packaging before purchasing.

What ceiling height is needed?

The lamp stands 1700mm tall, so it works in rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights and above. The upward-directed light from the shades washes the ceiling, so the effect is best in rooms with at least 2.3m clearance.

Is the base stable on rugs?

The 300mm circular base and 8.2kg weight provide stability on both hard floors and short-pile rugs. On thick or shag rugs, position the lamp where it is less likely to be knocked by foot traffic.
