Description

The Amel is a single-arm wall light with a polished chrome backplate and curved arm supporting a frosted and clear glass shade moulded into a tulip-like form. The shade combines frosted glass on the upper portion with clear glass ridges running vertically down the sides, creating texture and controlled light diffusion. A single GU10 bulb sits inside the shade (included).

Designed for hallways, bedroom reading positions, and bathroom zones where IP rating is not required, the Amel measures 140mm wide by 170mm high with a 170mm projection from the wall. The curved arm positions the shade away from the wall surface, directing light both upwards and outwards rather than straight down. The compact footprint suits narrow halls and alcoves where a larger wall bracket would overpower the space.

The polished chrome finish on the metal frame provides a high-reflectivity surface that pairs with modern chrome taps, handles and fixtures, or contrasts against darker wall colours. The included 9W GU10 bulb operates at 2700K warm white colour temperature and is not dimmable. The frosted upper portion of the glass diffuses direct glare while the clear lower ridges allow some light pattern to project onto adjacent walls.

Is the Amel dimmable?

No. The included 9W GU10 bulb is not dimmable and the fitting is not designed for dimmer switch compatibility.

Does the bulb come included?

Yes. The Amel ships with a 9W GU10 bulb rated at 2700K warm white colour temperature.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Amel does not carry an IP rating, so it should only be installed in bathroom zones where water splash is not present (typically Zone 3, at least 600mm from bath or shower enclosure). For zones requiring IP44 or higher, choose an IP-rated wall light.

What's the projection from the wall?

The fitting projects 170mm from the wall surface when installed. This positions the glass shade clear of the backplate, allowing light to spread outwards and upwards rather than washing straight down the wall.
