Description
This small teardrop LED filament bulb has amber glass and a gold-coloured E27 screw cap, the large screw fitting found in many pendants, wall lights and table lamps. It is 10cm long and 4.8cm across, compact enough for slim lampholders and open shades where the bulb is part of the look. Straight LED filaments inside the glass draw only 4W and give 300 lumens at a colour temperature of 1700K, a deep, golden warm light. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms.
We like it most where the bulb is on show: hanging bare from a pendant over a dining table, in an exposed wall light in a hallway, or in a table lamp with an open frame in a living room or bedroom. The amber glass and low colour temperature give the kind of soft, golden glow that makes a room feel settled in the evening. It is not suitable as a main light source, so treat it as the mood light and pair it with a brighter ceiling light or a task lamp for reading, cooking and close work. Used that way, a few of these along a kitchen island or in a cluster of pendants add warmth without flooding the room.
The glass is tinted amber all the way round, so the bulb keeps its honey colour even when it is unlit, and the filaments stay visible through it. It is dimmable, which lets you take the glow lower still for a late supper or a film night. It runs on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz supply, and at 0.063KG packed it is light and easy to handle while you fit it. Before you order, check that your lampholder takes an E27 screw cap and, if you plan to dim it, that your dimmer switch suits LED bulbs.

Frequently Asked
Can this bulb be dimmed?
Yes, it is dimmable, so you can lower its 300 lumen output for a softer glow; pair it with a dimmer switch that suits LED bulbs.
Is it bright enough to light a whole room?
No, it is not suitable as a main light source. At 300 lumens and 1700K it works as a mood light, best alongside a brighter ceiling light or task lamp.
Which cap does the bulb have?
It has an E27 screw cap, the larger screw fitting, so check that your lampholder takes an E27 bulb before you order.
How big is the bulb?
It is 10cm long and 4.8cm across, a compact teardrop shape that suits slim lampholders and open pendants where the bulb itself is seen.
Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?
It is rated IP20, which means indoors and dry only, so keep it out of bathrooms, outdoor lights and anywhere it could meet water.
What colour is the light?
It gives a very warm light at 1700K, and the amber glass deepens it into a soft golden glow that suits evening lighting.
