Amara 5 Light K9 Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Chrome

The Amara is a 648mm-wide flush ceiling light built around a polished chrome ring strung with octagonal K9 crystals, finishing in a domed crystal basket below. Five G9 lamp holders sit inside the basket and fire light outwards through the cut crystal, while looped chain swags and faceted beads drape from the outer ring to a central pendant drop. Total drop from the ceiling is 344mm.

Designed for rooms where a full chandelier would not clear the ceiling, the Amara suits bedrooms, formal dining rooms, hallways and reception spaces with ceiling heights from 2.3m upwards. The flush format keeps the fitting clear of head height while the 648mm diameter and dense crystal coverage carry the visual weight that a smaller flush light cannot. Five G9 sources spread light evenly across the basket rather than concentrating brightness at a single point.

The frame uses a polished chrome finish that sits cleanly against white, off-white and pale grey ceilings, and the K9 crystal is machine-cut for consistent facets across all the octagons, beads and the central drop. K9 is a high-clarity optical glass used widely in chandelier work for its refractive index, which is what produces the rainbow flecks across the ceiling and walls when the lamps are lit. Total fitting weight is 7.7kg, so a secure ceiling fixing into a joist or suitable brace is required.

Is the Amara suitable for a low ceiling?

Yes. The total drop is 344mm from the ceiling surface, which keeps the fitting well clear of head height in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m and above. This makes it a practical alternative to a hanging chandelier in bedrooms, hallways and rooms with standard UK ceiling heights.

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The Amara takes five G9 capsule bulbs at up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. G9 LED capsules in 3W-4W warm white (2700K-3000K) are the most common pairing and give the warmest sparkle through the K9 crystal.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmability depends on the G9 bulbs fitted rather than the fitting itself. If you choose dimmable G9 LED capsules paired with a compatible LED dimmer, the Amara can be dimmed. Standard non-dimmable LEDs will not dim regardless of the switch.

How is it cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool, then dust the crystals with a soft microfibre cloth. For a deeper clean, a barely-damp cloth with a small amount of glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth (never directly onto the fitting) restores the sparkle on the K9 facets. Avoid soaking the chrome frame.
