Description

The Amara is a 4-light flush ceiling light built around a polished chrome basket frame ringed with octagonal K9 crystals and filled with faceted crystal beadwork. Four G9 lamp holders sit inside the basket (bulbs sold separately), with light passing through the layered crystal to throw faceted reflections across the ceiling and walls. The fitting measures 47cm in diameter with a 29.2cm drop and weighs 4kg.

The flush profile is designed for rooms where a full chandelier drop will not fit. With under 30cm of projection from the ceiling, the Amara suits bedrooms, hallways, landings, dressing rooms and dining areas with ceiling heights from around 2.3m upwards. The chrome canopy mounts directly to a standard ceiling rose, and the four G9 capsule fittings allow for warm-white or cool-white bulbs to be matched to the room.

Two layers of crystal give the fitting its character. A crown of larger octagonal crystals rims the upper basket, catching light from the bulbs at their brightest angle, while a lower dome of smaller round beads gathers the light into a denser cluster. Below the basket, fine chrome chains threaded with round crystal beads swag between fixing points and finish in single-bead drops, softening the silhouette and adding the cascading detail typical of traditional crystal lighting.

Is this suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 29.2cm drop makes it a true flush-mount fitting designed for ceilings of around 2.3m and upwards. It works in rooms where a hanging chandelier would sit too low, including bedrooms, landings and hallways.

What bulbs does it take?

The Amara takes 4 x G9 capsule bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. G9 LED capsules in 2700K-3000K give the warm sparkle most often associated with crystal lighting, while 4000K options give a brighter, cooler look.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself has no built-in dimmer. Dimming depends on the bulbs chosen and the dimmer switch installed - choose dimmable G9 LEDs paired with a compatible LED dimmer for variable brightness.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool. Dust the crystals with a soft, lint-free cloth, or wipe with a barely-damp microfibre cloth for heavier marks. Avoid spraying cleaning fluids directly onto the fitting, as moisture can reach the lamp holders and electrical connections.
