Description

The Alton is a single-light wall fitting with a tapered seeded glass shade held on a chrome stem that extends 189mm from a rectangular polished chrome backplate. The fitting takes one E27 bulb up to 40W (sold separately) and carries an IP44 rating, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 where moisture resistance is required but direct water contact is not expected.

Designed for bathroom mirror lighting, hallway accent positions and vanity areas, the Alton's 561mm height gives it presence without overwhelming typical bathroom wall spans of 1.8-2.4m. The seeded glass diffuses the bulb filament while allowing clear downward light to reach the sink or counter below. The industrial-style mounting hardware with visible bolt details provides contrast against the polished chrome finish.

The chrome finish works across both contemporary and traditional bathroom schemes, pairing with chrome taps, towel rails and shower fittings. The 127mm width and rectangular backplate suit standard stud spacing for wall mounting. The clear seeded glass shows tonal variation and small bubbles characteristic of the manufacturing process, giving each shade a slightly different appearance when viewed closely.
