Alton 1 Light Wall Light - Brushed Brass

The Alton is a single-light wall fitting with a seeded glass shade held in a brushed brass frame, mounted on a rectangular brushed brass backplate. The glass shade stands 561mm tall with visible air bubbles and texture in the glass creating a seeded effect, while the E27 bulb socket sits inside the shade on a brushed brass collar. Exposed bolt-style fixings on the collar and frame give the fitting an industrial-workshop reference without relying on distressed finishes.

Designed for bathroom vanity lighting, the Alton is IP44 rated for use in zones 2 and 3 where splashing water is present but not direct jets. The 127mm width and 189mm projection from the wall suit installation as a pair flanking a bathroom mirror, or as a single fitting in narrow hallways and powder rooms where wall space is limited. The clear light cast through the seeded glass provides functional task lighting for grooming while the textured glass softens the bare-bulb glare.

Can the Alton be installed as a pair?

Yes. The 127mm width and tall profile suit installation as a pair flanking a bathroom mirror, typically spaced 600-900mm apart depending on mirror width. Each fitting requires separate wiring to a suitable IP-rated junction box or direct mains connection.

How is the seeded glass cleaned?

The glass shade can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth and standard glass cleaner. The textured interior surface of the seeded glass may collect dust over time — remove the shade by unscrewing the collar fixings and wash in warm soapy water, then dry thoroughly before refitting.
